How to read this information

Catalog ranges can describe approved labeling, clinical research or unverified reports. They are not interchangeable and do not select a personal dose.

Half-life

EPOGEN epoetin alfa: IV elimination half-life was 4–13 hours in adults and children with chronic kidney disease. In the cited subcutaneous regimens in anemic cancer patients, mean half-life was about 40 hours (range 16–67). Route, population and regimen differ; the 5–24-hour subcutaneous time to peak is not half-life.

Species, route and formulation matter. Half-life does not define a safe dosing interval.
